Zbrush Mechanical Modeling (Practice)
Instead of jumping straight into the assignment, I decided to get some practice in since I had missed the initial classes due to being sick.
This practice model used only the following Tools:

Move, ClayTubes, Standard, and Smooth


While not my finest work, I liked the concept as it was coming along.  For the practice, I didn't use any Alphas.

Steampunk Clocktower

Over this weekend we've all decided to work on texturing the different models we put together.  I'm handling adding materials and textures (if necessary) to all the gears.

Materials I've created:
Brass 1
Brass 2
Brass 3
Copper

The materials use a 3 layers of color on a blinn material.

The 3 materials seen here are the brass materials.  The copper material is similar in appearance to Brass 1, so it isn't included here.

15 Minute Assignment 11/17/2015

Work on the quick 15 minute assignment in class.

Concept was the alien head from a drawing I did several years for a creature I dubbed "Xenomorph"  The creature itself features a 4 flap mouth section on the head, scythes for arms, and a Quadra pedal leg system.




I'll probably continue modifying the sculpt at a later date and make the rest of the creature.

Concept Revised
Rework of model to match concept






Sunday:
Detail refinement and removal of unnecessary polygons.




Monday: 
Made some final tweaks in the vertices,
Tested mirroring the geometry, issue with one spike and arms mirroring on axis.
Cut UV Edges
Worked on some of the UV mapping
